The design is ageless and is reminiscent of the classic overlay pens crafted in the early 1900s. The openwork filigree overlay was methodically designed to incorporate the figures '1905' and 'CS'. Each pen is hallmarked at the London Assay Office and bears an individual limited edition number. Each pen will be accompanied with an extended warranty service for 100 years. The Chatsworth Collection is a new overlay design commissioned for Conway Stewart by award winning artist Henry Simpole. This is by far the most detailed and intricate filigree design to date for Conway Stewart by Simpole, and for the first time we are making the Chatsworth collection available on a canvas choice of three of our most popular resins: Classic Black, Blue Stardust, and Red Stardust. Each pen is about six inches long when capped. With every Simpole designed overlay for Conway Stewart, Henry meticulously works into the design the initials 'C' & 'S' (Conway Stewart). Many people who have purchased previous overlays through Conway Stewart are not aware of the letters that are woven into the design. This design feature alone can take up to another 40 hours in making certain that the two initials work harmoniously within the filigree pattern. The Chatsworth Collection takes this to another step, and not only are the initials 'C' and 'S' incorporated, there are two further letters; 'J' and 'G' in honour of the two founders of this great British pen company in 1905, Jarvis and Garner. Limited to the following finishes in a choice of fountain pen or roller
ball: Nib grades: Extra Fine to Extra Broad, Italic Fine, Italic Medium, Italic
Broad List price is $1,990 and one silver over black pen in F nib, S/N 11/100 is in stock. Please e-mail me by clicking here for your price and ordering instructions (do not e-mail me your credit card information!). |

Drake Edition
The new Conway Stewart Drake has been inspired by the legendary British explorer Sir Francis Drake. This new model is rendered in solid sterling silver, with cap and barrel covered in intricate guilloche engraving. The elegant and graceful engraving blend with solid construction and simple classic design to produce a fine writing instrument worthy of association with one of the most notable figures of the Elizabethan era. Sir Francis Drake was born in Tavistock, near Plymouth, England in around
1540. With Plymouth the home of modern day Conway Stewart, it seems only
appropriate for the company to name this superb new design after a local
legend. The Drake fountain pen is fashioned from a solid rod of sterling silver. Guilloche engraving is used to create a gently flowing wave pattern on the cap and barrel, set off with highly polished cap top, cap band, and barrel end. The solid sterling silver section leaves the weight centred low in the hand, ensuring that the pen is balanced well when writing. Each pen is engraved with the name Drake on the cap band, and a likeness of The Golden Hind on the cap top. The Conway Stewart Drake bears the English Sterling Silver Hallmark, the world accepted standard for precious metal. The Drake fountain pen is mounted with our large 18 carat solid gold nib, rhodium plated to match the sterling silver cap and barrel. The nib is available in eight nib grades, form Extra Fine to Double Broad, Italic Fine, Italic Medium and Italic Broad. Medium is in stock. The Drake utilises the reliable cartridge/convertor filling mechanism. The pen is presented in Conway Stewart's luxurious packaging, which contains a souvenir book on the life of Sir Francis Drake.

The Anderson pen is from Conway Stewart’s Elegance range. Each pen from this range has a distinct design and is produced to the highest standards of English craftsmanship. Sleek and subtly curvaceous, this series looks fondly back to Conway Stewart's Golden Age of fountain pen production for inspiration. It is an extremely versatile pen, ideal for every occasion. Large enough to possess a commanding presence, yet not so outsized as to be unwieldy in either the hand or the pocket. Truly the "Best of both worlds." Lovingly constructed of hallmarked solid sterling silver, the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson pen has been designed in the style of Fabergé, with a highly detailed guilloche fox-head pattern engraved on the cap and body. It is skilfully covered with vibrant bonded enamel in a delicate shade of lavender. |

Model
10o Icon Edition |
|
"Model 100 series voted as Best Pen Brand Icon 2006 Pen World Reader's Choice Awards" In celebration of the One Hundred Series awarded as Best Pen, Brand Icon, Conway Stewart has launched a special limited edition of this classic model; The Model 100 Icon Edition. This is the first time the model 100 has been crafted completely out of sterling silver; the cap and barrel as well as the front section. Each Model 100 Icon edition carries the sterling silver hallmark from the British Assay Office. The word hallmark is derived from London’s Hall of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and the term 'hallmarking' meaning 'marked in Goldsmiths' Hall', the originator of Britain’s first hallmarks. Since it has always been difficult to determine the purity of silver in an object by merely looking at it, many countries have tried to establish a system of ensuringthat standards are maintained to protect those who buy silver products. In the UK, our system developed about six hundred years ago, when laws were passed to fix the purity of silver in manufactured articles to be at least 925 parts of silver in every one thousand parts. This standard became known as sterling silver and, in order to bear the sterling silver mark, any object had to be sent to and tested by the goldsmiths guild at the London Assay Office. This system probably represented the first form of consumer protection in the world. The Model 100 Icon edition fountain pen is mounted with our large rhodium plated, iridium tipped 18 carat solid gold nib in a choice of eight different grades and utilizes the popular cartridge/convertor filling mechanism. The Model 100 Icon edition is released as a special worldwide edition of 100 numbered pieces available in fountain pen, roller ball, ball pen and pencil. MSRP is $1,370 and one pen in F nib is in stock. Please e-mail me by clicking here for your price and ordering instructions (do not e-mail me your credit card information!). |
Churchill
Casein |
|||||||||||||||
|
|||||||||||||||
During the 1920 to 1950s, Conway Stewart focused on producing quite a large percentage of their pen production out of Casein. Formed over a six months long process from milk protein, carrying subtle striations against a luxuriant ivory background this natural material has warmth that has to be experienced to fully appreciate. The finishes were very popular and the designs gave fruit to an abundance of models offered in an array of vibrant colors and patterns which gave the perception of depth and opalescence to the finish. Inspired by the great British statesman, who used our pens during the war years, the Churchill is in every way an impressive pen, and not least because of its size. Available in both traditional materials, such as ebonite and in modern resins, the Churchill comes in a range of colours from classic black to the riotously vibrant and in cartridge/convertor, lever, or button filling versions by special order. Like all Conway Stewart Churchill pens, it comes complete with gift box, Churchill cigar in aluminum tube, bottle of blue ink, book of Churchill quotations, and the guarantee paper and instruction leaflet. MSRP is a very reasonable $790 for the acrylic models and $900 for the casein version. One cartridge/convertor fill casein pen in F nib is in stock - all other Churchill acrylic colors are available by special order. Trafalgar Limited Edition |
![]() |
![]() |
In Commemoration of Lord Nelson, Conway Stewart proudly presents the 'Trafalgar Limited Edition' On the 21st of October, 1805 Lord Nelson and his flagship HMS Victory earned undying fame at the Battle of Trafalgar. The British fleet of 27 ships beat the combined French and Spanish fleet of 33 ships. No British ship was lost and 22 of the French and Spanish fleet were seized or destroyed. The French and Spanish lost 4,400 men and the British 450 - Nelson himself the most famous of them. The courage and skill of Nelson and his men ensured the supremacy of the British Navy for the next 100 years. This beautiful hand crafted pen is substantial in weight and about 1 cm longer than our popular 100 series. The cap top is conical in shape and the nautical theme is accentuated by the three solid 18K gold bands on the cap -- one large and two slim denoting Nelson's rank of Vice Admiral at the Battle of Trafalgar. On the barrel there is a thick gold band leading to an elegantly tapered end. The Trafalgar is crafted out of our custom Blue Stardust acrylic. This material is stunning because it contains fine silver dust particles that shimmer subtly as the light hits the pen. This exclusive packaging is very striking. The stylish large dark green
lacquered presentation box is lined with a deep luscious green velvet,
housing the limited edition Trafalgar pen. It is accompanied by an informative
book detailing the life of Nelson, a bottle of Conway Stewart ink and
a rocker blotter made from the actual oak removed from the historic HMS
Victory. Despite its age, the HMS Victory is still part of the British
Navy with its own captain and crew. She lies in dry dock at the Naval
Base in Portsmouth and is scrupulously restored and maintained. Very limited amounts of materials from this work are made available for prestigious projects and Conway Stewart has procured and used Victory oak to make the period rocker blotter included with this special edition. The blotting paper supplied carries a faint imprint of Nelsons Signature reversed - as it the man himself had used it. A certificate of authenticity will accompany each pen from Conway Stewart. The current captain of the Victory signs an additional certificate stating the wood is genuinely from the Victory. This pen is bottle fill only and cannot use cartridges. MSRP was a very low $900. |
